About us

Serious about crap.

The name makes people laugh. The service is why they stay.

A Load of Crap was born from a simple observation: everyone loves their dog, and nobody loves the pickup. For a lot of people it's more than a chore — age, an injury, surgery, three dogs, a newborn, a 60-hour week — it's genuinely hard. So we built the service we'd want at our own gate: same day every week, the whole garden every time, pet-safe spray on every spot, and a photo of the closed gate before we leave.

What we believe

Four things we don't bend on.

No judgement

Whatever the reason you need us — and however long it's been — you'll get a friendly hello, not a raised eyebrow. We've seen worse. Promise.

Reliability is the product

Anyone can scoop once. Turning up the same day, every week, rain or shine — that's the actual job, and it's the bit we take most seriously.

The whole garden, every time

Corners, borders, behind the shed. Every last one, every single visit. Standards, you see.

Dogs first

We meet the dog before we ever start, we only use pet-safe products, and every visit ends the same way: gate shut, photo sent, dog safe.

Head of Quality Control

Meet Sir Reginald.

Monocle. Safari hat. Zero tolerance for a missed corner.

Sir Reginald takes his work extremely seriously. He inspects our standards, signs off on the whole-garden rule, and personally disapproves of anything left behind the shed. Rare appearances only — a distinguished gentleman doesn't just turn up anywhere. Standards, you see.

The bigger plan

Southport first. Then the country.

We'll be honest about the ambition: A Load of Crap was never meant to stop at one van. The plan is to prove it properly in Southport & West Lancashire — our first territory — and then bring the brand to towns across the UK through local franchisees.

Same standards. Same pet-safe spray. Same gate photo. Same sense of humour. Just closer to you.

Fancy running your own patch one day? We'd love to hear from you — get in touch and mention "franchise".

Who's behind it

The human behind the scoop.

Tried and tested on our own pack.

A Load of Crap was started by the people behind a busy multi-dog household — so we know first-hand how quickly the mess mounts up. And as a qualified dog trainer and behaviourist with clients across the North West, we've seen how life can take its toll. Sometimes people just need a hand with the simplest of tasks. No judgement.

Our home has done the lot — boarding, breeding, training and raising our own dogs — so we know exactly what a clean, safe garden means for the dogs who live in it. It's why we're fussy about what we use: everything is dog-safe, and safe to run on while it's still wet. Stuck-on marks, urine smells that nothing else seems to shift — even on soft surfaces — we've fought those battles at home first, and found what actually works.

Whatever the reason you need us, give us a shout — we're here to help. We'll come and meet you and the dog first. No hard sell. Garden, hello, price to your face.

Right then. Shall we come and say hello?

We meet you and the dog first — no hard sell, no judgement. First visit free for the Founding 20.
